TDC Tidal Monitoring
Tasman District Council monitors sea level at two locations, Golden Bay at Tarakohe Wharf and Tasman Bay at Little Kaiteriteri. The data is collected at 1 minute interval.
Tide level is displayed in Chart Datum which is the datum used for navigation and in tide tables. It is also available in NZ Vertical Datum 2016 (NZVD 2016). The report can be opened in a new window here.

The Tūātea buoy is deployed in Tasman Bay in collaboration with the University of Canterbury. Data available includes wave direction & height, wind speed. The report can be opened in a new window here.
