The Strategy Finance and Performance Committee covers a wide-ranging list of responsibilities, which includes the physical development and growth of the Tasman District through a focus on land and resource use and the appropriate provision of infrastructure, as well as overseeing the management of our financial and commercial activities.
It’s the place where not only our financial performance is discussed, but also the overall performance of the organisation.
It’s also where recommendations to Council are made on the 10-Year and Annual Plans, Activity Management Plans, Statutory Policies, Annual Report, and Resource Management Act Policies and Plans.
Meetings are held every four weeks, with the membership consisting of all Councillors and the Mayor. Cr Kit Maling is chair of the committee, with Cr Dave Woods as deputy.
An iwi representative with voting rights will also sit on the committee.

The purpose of this Subcommittee is to evaluate the Community Award nominees and their contributions to the community for outstanding community service.
The purpose of this Subcommittee is to administer Council's community grants from rates scheme, including allocation of monies to recipient organisations and groups.
The purpose of this Subcommittee is to consider local community arts applications to the Creative Communities Scheme and make grants in terms of the criteria specified by the scheme's funders, Creative New Zealand.
