The partnership with community access radio FreshFM, a trusted hyper-local channel that reaches communities across Tasman, strengthens our ability to deliver local news and critical updates.

Dedicated council time slots give residents a reliable source for Tasman news and updates.

Distribution via the national access radio podcast platform, to Apple(external link) and iHeart(external link) further expands the reach of Tasman Report. Council also has an arrangement with FreshFM to broadcast vital emergency information.

Tasman Report episodes feature news from Council committees and community boards, as well as stories from staff working across parks and reserves, infrastructure, biosecurity, ports and marine, planning, and emergency management.

Episodes typically include four news-bulletin style stories and one long-form story, which allows us to explore a topic in depth — sometimes as a two-part feature depending on its complexity.

The Tasman Report supplements existing channels such as Newsline, our website, and social media, and we will promote it through these platforms.
